Lulled by a family dream, Nina Six set out to follow in her mother's footsteps and leave for the shores of the St. Lawrence. Through her work, the cartoonist tells us the adventures of a young woman of 24 years old who left alone for Quebec City. Thirty years later, her daughter undertakes the same journey in order to understand the emotional attachment that binds her mother to Quebec.

Eager for authenticity in her writing, Nina obtained a grant from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, in partnership with Québec BD, to set down her luggage in Quebec City. For two months, she will be in the vicinity of Montreal, Trois Rivières and Tadoussac.

Biography of the cartoonist:
Born in 1998 in Orléans, Nina Six has been living in Belgium for eight years. Her narrative practice is intimate, personal, and based on childhood memories. Her work as an author engages her to be attentive to the sensitive, to the living; to the world in movement with which she composed. Her narratives come to live through the tensions that feed the different themes addressed in her stories. editions-sarbacane/nina-six
